Introducing Robn's New-Look Prediction Tournaments For College Football Season

How to Enter, The Tournament Schedule, New Gameplay Changes for 2024-25, Two Incredible Sponsors, and What Contestants Stand To Win

College Football is back and so are Robn's revamped Prediction Tournaments.

And we brought friends.

Robn is elated to be partnering with two Presenting Brands so far this season: Sports business publication Sportico (and more specifically, its brand new content platform, Club Sportico) and fantasy sports stalwart Rotowire.

These companies will promote Robn's Prediction Tournaments to their audiences, have presenting sponsorship rights to the individual Tournaments themselves, supply in-kind prizes that are awarded on a weekly basis to winning Contestants, develop content in conjunction with Robn, and much more.

What Is Robn?

For those of you who are new to the site, Robn is a subscription sports content community that produces writing, podcasts and videos. It has a particular emphasis on college football, baseball and golf.

Our goal is to foster relationships amongst subscribers in order to bring disparate people together in a world increasingly isolated by the digitization of interactions, cultural tribalism, and the cancer of unchecked convenience.

As a way to promote our content and to incentivize subscriptions, we offer paid subscribers free entry into our Prediction Tournaments, wherein they compete against one another by predicting aspects of various sports events.

These Tournaments are sweepstakes-based promotions. A Contestant's participation therein is no different than playing McDonalds Monopoly after smashing that late-nite Big Mac, or your wife playing Starbucks for Life after she purchases an $8 Venti multi-colored abomination to help fuel the holiday shopping spree that becomes the genesis of your first ulcer.

No purchase is necessary to participate in these tournaments, and all participants must be 18 or older and physically located in the U.S. at the time of participation.

Tournaments usually last for around one week, and prizes are usually in the form of a mixture of cash and in-kind goods and services from Robn's Sponsoring Partners (see below).

How Tournaments Are "Revamped" This Year

In an effort to ensure our Tournaments are fully compliant with Sweepstakes and ensure their longevity as a promotional tool for our community, we've made a few adjustments that might make gameplay feel a bit different than it did last season.

No More Balance Management, Just Picks and Points: In the past, Contestants always had to remember their specific 'balance' of points to allocate to one or more games, and they had to allocate a minimum amount of points each week. This year, Contestants have no points to award or keep track of. They just make picks on a series of games each week. Successful picks earn Contestants points. The more points a Contestant earns, the better their chances of winning.

Weekly Prizes, Not Just Seasonlong: This year Contestants can win prizes for an individual week's strong performance. Contestants who accumulate the most points in one weekend can be eligible for cash, partner benefits, free Robn subscriptions and merchandise, and more.

Must Complete Method of Entry To Participate: To compete in Prediction Tournaments, we need those in the Robn community to complete a Valid Method of Entry. The easiest method of entry is completing a paid subscription to Robnsports.com, either monthly or annually. Contestants may also complete an alternative method of entry (see Terms). Once a Valid Method of Entry is completed, Contestants will receive their "Entry Code" which gives them access to participate in any Prediction Tournament.

Join At Any Time, Skip Any Week: In the past, if Tournament participants missed even one week of our seasonlong competition, they were expelled from the entire competition and unable to win anything at season's end. Now, with weekly prizing, Contestants can fold in and out of weeks as they see fit. for the diehards: There will still be seasonlong standings and a race for seasonlong glory, so fear not.

Goodbye Google Forms, Hello Typeform: As we have grown, we have grown out of the humble Google Form. The main reason for this is customization. Our cards will have their own URL, Robn branding, responsive logic, UTM tracking, way more question formats and options, and no Google branding or, erm, aesthetics. One issue with Typeform: It will allow you to submit multiple forms. Whatever your most recently submitted form is will constitute your official Tournament entry, and will trump all previously submitted entries.

Refer Friends And Get Paid, Yourself: Word of mouth is our community's biggest asset. Now, we're incentivizing you to help us spread the word about Robn. All you have to do is let us know you want your own referral link. We'll generate it for you and send it your way. You, then, send that link to your friends. When they subscribe using your link, we'll see it on our end, and you'll start getting paid. It's that simple.

18+, U.S. Only: Though it wasn't explicitly stated in the past, it was always intended: You must be at least 18 years of age and physically located in the U.S. at the time of participation in order to participate in a Prediction Tournament. You also may not participate under anyone else's identity or utilizing anyone else's Entry Code. We may ask for a bit more information than usual on the Tournament Entry Card to make sure everyone is compliant with requirements.

How To Qualify To Participate

To participate in a Prediction Tournament, Contestants must submit an Entry Form before the applicable Tournament deadline. They cannot submit an Entry Form without inputting their unique Entry Code on said form.

The Entry Code verifies that the Contestant has completed a Valid Method of Entry and, therefore, qualifies to participate in the Tournament.

One such Valid Method of Entry is purchasing a paid subscription ($9.99/month or $99.99/year) to RobnSports.com. Subscriptions get you access to all of Robn's premium content, including our written analysis and features, every episode of RobnPod, all Tournament recaps, and exclusive access to giveaways and drops from our brand partners.

Upon paid subscription completion, Contestants will be sent an Entry Code to the email they subscribed with.

Entry Codes are unique to each individual, will not change, and cannot be transferred to, or used by, another person. Forms with invalid Entry Codes will not be accepted, even if they are submitted by paid subscribers.

Contestants may use this Entry Code to enter and participate in any Tournament that ends prior to the expiration of their active subscription.

In the case of Contestants that have completed an alternative method of entry, they may use the Entry Code to enter and participate in the Tournaments only for which they were specifically awarded entry.

How To Submit A Tournament Entry Form

All Prediction Tournament Entry Forms will be posted to the website when they go live, and will also be sent out to subscribers as a part of Robn's weekly content emails.

Contestants can submit a Tournament Entry Form by navigating to the post on robnsports.com with that Tournament's Form, filling that Form out with their various predictions and their correct, unique Entry Code, and submitting that Form before the appointed deadline.

Robn will award Contestants points for correct predictions, and then post the sum total of each Contestants' earned points from correct predictions on the website after all of the underlying sporting events on which the Prediction Tournaments are based have concluded.

The Contestant with the most points will win the top prize, the second-most, the second prize, and so on.

Robn will offer weeklong Tournaments as demand, promotional capacity and availability dictate.

The first College Football Prediction Tournament will be released next week, for the games of Aug. 31st.
