Robn Prediction Tournaments - What They Are, How To Play
How Robn's Sports Prediction Tournaments work.
Robn is a subscription sports content community that produces writing, podcasts and videos.
Our goal is to foster relationships amongst subscribers in order to bring disparate people together in a world increasingly isolated by technology, tribalism, and the cancer of unchecked convenience.
As a way to promote our content and to incentivize subscriptions, we offer paid subscribers free entry into our Prediction Tournaments, wherein they compete against one another by predicting aspects of various sports events.
These Tournaments are sweepstakes-based promotions. Your participation therein is no different than playing McDonalds Monopoly after smashing that late-nite Big Mac, or your wife playing Starbucks for Life after she purchases an $8 Venti multi-colored abomination to help fuel the holiday shopping spree that becomes the genesis of your first ulcer. No purchase is necessary to participate in these tournaments, and all participants must be 18 or older and physically located in the U.S. at the time of participation.
Tournaments usually last for around one week, and prizes are usually in the form of a mixture of cash and in-kind goods and services from Robn's Sponsoring Partners (see below).
To Enter: Either purchase a subscription ($9.99/month or $99.99/year) or complete an alternative method of entry.
When Contestants complete one of these two options, they will be sent an Entry Code. This Code is unique to the Contestant, and will not change.
Contestants may use this Entry Code to enter and participate in Tournaments that end prior to the expiration of their active subscription. In the case of Contestants that have completed an alternative method of entry, they may use the Entry Code to enter and participate in the Tournament for which they specifically requested entry.
Contestants can participate in Tournaments by navigating to the Tournament's entry card (the "Card") on robnsports.com, filling that Card out with their various predictions and their Entry Code, and submitting that Card before the appointed deadline. Cards will also be emailed to paid subscribers.
Robn will award Contestants points for correct predictions, and then post the sum total of each Contestants' earned points from correct predictions on the website.
The Contestant with the most points will win the top prize, the second-most, the second prize, and so on.
Robn will offer weeklong Tournaments as demand, promotional capacity and availability dictate. Check out our running Tournament Schedule document, which will be updated in throughout the year as more tournaments become available.
The most imminent weekly Tournaments as of this writing (August 2024) are Robn's College Football Tournaments, beginning August 25th for the games of August 31st.
